Old Boomers and their "smart" phones
« on: October 18, 2017, 05:31:36 pm »
Have you ever noticed all of the older baby boomers always have or want the newest phone and they have no fucking idea how to use the majority of the features?

Just looking at my parents and in-laws.   My parents don't even know how to use the edit button on a photo.

I donít use a lot of the features on my iPhone and iPad. If I needed to edit an image, then I email it to myself and do what I need to do to fix it in Photoshop. I use my phone for texting and phone calls, my iPad for texting and web surfing. Anything that is more complex I go to my iMac.

I don't think this is generational, there are plenty of young people who don't know how to do anything with their $800 flagship phone.  People buy phones as status symbols.
